Through the implementation of precise specifications and the intervention of producers at several key moments of the cultivation and harvesting processes, from one plum to the next, the taste remains unchanged.
The harvest is launched when the appropriate sugar content is measured. This is why the fruits are perfectly ripe as they arrive in stores.

A lot of care is always put into harvesting as the fruits are picked by hand using baskets. Each plum is delicately placed into the basket then transferred to a crate, prior to being taken to a packaging station where it is to be sized and placed in its box.
Packaging stations must comply with very precise specifications to ensure careful conditioning and shipping, thus preserving the quality of the product throughout the marketing period.

The producers and packaging stations authorised by Lovita® have been selected based on their environmental awareness, and they have made a commitment to reduce their impact on the environment.
Preserving water resources - really
Every participant in the Lovita® organisation has undertaken to limit their water consumption. In addition, Lovita® is a plum variety which is particularly resistant to dry summer spells. Originally from the Valley of Jordan in Israel, Lovita® requires little water.

Fair remuneration
All the members of the Lovita® organisation offer fair remuneration to their authorised producers. Since the founding members are producers themselves, they are particularly aware of occupational health risks and the need for fair remuneration in their trade.
